TURNING BACK TIME AT EF STEAM: 8th grade science students at the East Feliciana STEAM Academy have been exploring plate tectonics! This week, they used a variety of data sources to move backwards in time to reconstruct the supercontinent Pangea. Through this activity, students developed their scientific skills in investigation and data analysis.

A GROWTH MINDSET: THE FOUNDATION OF SUCCESS Last week, students at Jackson Elementary School and Slaughter Elementary School participated in NED’s Mindset Mission, a live, school-wide assembly performance that teaches the benefits of a growth mindset in a way kids love and remember. In accordance with our Continuous Learning Plan, all students will receive assignment sheets from their school for use in distance learning during the closure.
