Congratulations to the members of our East Feliciana High School Tigers football team who have earned special recognition for their play this season. Special congratulations to Mills Dawson, Chandler Wilson, and Landon Wilson for their victory with the Eagles at the Red Stick Bowl. Chandler grabbed a key interception, Landon was recognized as the outstanding defensive back for the Eagles, and Mills was recognized as the outstanding quarterback/wide receiver for the Eagles.

East Feliciana STEAM Academy students who demonstrated great citizenship during the month of November were invited to dress up in their very best holiday attire as part of the school's Positive Behavior Celebration.


Jackson Elementary School recently hosted a family literacy night. Families had the opportunity to hear a variety of holiday stories, play literacy games, make fun crafts, and even visit the JES book fair! Engaging families is a priority of our district strategic plan.





Students participating in the EF Accelerate/21st CCLC afterschool program at Slaughter Elementary School had a special holiday party to celebrate all their hard work during the first semester.





Students at the East Feliciana Enrichment Academy engaged in several seasonal learning projects, including sharing their findings from a Thanksgiving dinner budgeting project and exploring the math behind the 12 Days of Christmas.

decked the halls and foyer of the school to usher in the holiday spirit.


Students at Clinton Elementary School spread holiday cheer at a special program last Thursday. Students collaborated with their teachers and classmates to prepare special presentations across a wide range of performing arts.





Students at Clinton Elementary School and Jackson Elementary School were recently treated to a magic show from DEMCO entitled "Making Accidents Disappear." The show covers the many hazards that can occur if electricity is not used properly as well as tips for safe electricity usage. Building partnerships with community institutions like DEMCO is a priority of East Feliciana Public Schools' strategic plan.




To develop students as writers, East Feliciana Public Schools utilize components
of The Writing Revolution, which helps students grow from writing strong sentences to writing strong compositions by embedding the development of specific writing skills into curricula across all content areas and grade levels. CELEBRATING THE GIFT OF READING: Last week, Clinton Elementary School hosted its annual book fair. Students got to preview, sample, and purchase a variety of books and other goodies!




Students in Mrs. Sanders-Williams' kindergarten reading class at Clinton Elementary School lead instruction as part of the CKLA (Core Knowledge Language Arts) curriculum routines. East Feliciana Public Schools use high quality Tier 1 curriculum across subject areas.

As part of our efforts to provide high-quality literacy instruction to all of our students, all of our early elementary literacy classrooms have special "sound walls" to help support student understanding of phonics. All of our PreK through 3rd grade teachers are also participating in Science of Reading training to continue to develop their own literacy expertise.


Pre-K students in Ms. Turner's class at CES practice letter formation and writing as they participate in a “Write the Room” activity. Students are encouraged to find words in the classroom. Creating text-rich environments is an important part of early childhood learning.




The East Feliciana High School Tigers boys basketball team recently participated in the Belton/Williams Classic at Wossman High School in Monroe, finishing 1-2 with an opening round loss to the host Wossman Wildcats, a big win over Tensas, and a narrow overtime loss to Sterlington. Junior Trey'Dez Green was named to the all-tournament team, averaging 27 points and 11 rebounds per game. Come check out the team this Tuesday at home at EFHS as they take on Central!
