LEADERSHIP IN ACTION AT EFMS: On Friday, September 23, East Feliciana Middle School held a watch party for Homecoming Court nominees so they could watch the results of voting live. East Feliciana Middle School is committed to developing leadership opportunities for students.
As part of Constitution Week, students at Clinton Elementary School learned more about the responsibilities of citizens by casting Homecoming election ballots.
TOUCHDOWN, TIGERS! The East Feliciana Middle School Tigers football team dominated all aspects of the game on their way to a 56-0 home victory at Calvin Chapman Stadium in Clinton against East Iberville last Tuesday.
“We are proud of our students for working hard on the field, in the classroom, and as leaders in their community,” noted East Feliciana Middle School principal Kimberly Jackson.

Students in Ms. Aspen Jenkins’ math class at Clinton Elementary School and Ms. Melanie Williams' math class at Jackson Elementary School have been hard at work growing their math skills using the Zearn math curriculum. Developing the curriculum expertise of our teachers and providing individualized learning opportunities for our students are two priorities of #HomegrownPride, our district's strategic plan.
Last week, Clinton Elementary School hosted a special "Mastery Plus" luncheon for all students who scored at Mastery and above on at least one of their LEAP 2025 state tests in Spring 2022. The rate at which students at CES scored Mastery and above increased by 5% overall and by 11% in English language arts, contributing to East Feliciana Public Schools being the top growing district statewide for students scoring Mastery and above. Scores of Mastery and above reflect full readiness for the next grade level of study. Students participating in the luncheon included fifth graders Cayden, Jamiah, Collin, Ty’shawn, and Paris and fourth graders Richie, Jardon, Ka’ryah, Dezaryia, Cameron, and Robert.

Spotlight on Track and Field: East Feliciana High School students Herman Batiste, Quen'Braylon Dunn, and Antoine Johnson recently competed in the AAU Junior Olympic Games in Greensboro, North Carolina. Herman finished 2nd place in the country for all 17-18 year olds in the high jump with a jump of 6 feet, 8.75 inches. Congratulations to these Tigers and their coach, Mr. Alonzo Jones!

The East Feliciana STEAM Academy (EF STEAM) is the keystone of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics education in East Feliciana Public Schools. East Feliciana Public Schools Top Louisiana for Growth on State Assessments: The latest state assessment results demonstrate that #HomegrownPride continues to be more than just a slogan in East Feliciana Public Schools. According to data released by the Louisiana Department of Education, East Feliciana Public Schools was one of the top districts in the state for one-year growth in student performance on LEAP 2025 state assessments. The percentage of students performing at Mastery and above on these assessments in East Feliciana Public Schools grew from 21% to 25%. This growth exceeded all other districts in the capital region and was only matched by three other districts statewide. Additionally, reflecting the district’s intentional efforts in developing teachers’ curriculum expertise in these subject areas, East Feliciana Public Schools rated second in the state for growth in English language arts and was the top district for growth in math, with the rates of students scoring Mastery and above in these areas increasing by five and nine points respectively.
