COLLABORATION IS KEY IN ENGLISH I AT EFMS: English I students at East Feliciana Middle School collaborated to find textual evidence that supported answers to text dependent questions. English I is one way students at EFMS have an opportunity to earn high school credit.
Students at Clinton Elementary, Jackson Elementary, and Slaughter Elementary celebrated the 100th Day of School by transforming into older and wiser students for the day!
ENERGY SOLUTIONS AT CES: 4th grade students at Clinton Elementary School came up with solutions to convert motion energy to electric energy by designing and making wind turbines that spin when moving air blows over them.
Congratulations to our EFHS Tigers girls basketball team, who won their Senior Night game at home last Friday against the Northeast High School Vikings by a final score of 44-35! The Tigers play at Dunham tonight at 6:30 in the district tournament semifinals.

LEARNING LAB SAFETY AT EF STEAM: Sixth grade students at the East Feliciana STEAM Academy have been learning the ins and outs of lab biosecurity and how to manage the school’s aquaponics lab.
DISCOVERY LEARNING AT SES: Students in Mrs. Hopkins’ and Mrs. McCurley’s Pre-K classes at Slaughter Elementary School have been exploring construction and tools to develop their engineering and problem solving skills.
WE HAVE A DREAM! Ms. Turner’s ESS students at Jackson Elementary School celebrated Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Day by listening to a story about his life, making their own books, and creating posters about their own dreams!
4-H and Cloverbud students at Slaughter Elementary had fun at their January Club meetings! K-3 students learned about local birds and how to make a pine cone bird feeder, while 4-6 students learned about nutrition and growing cabbage. They even got to eat some smothered cabbage!

Jackson Elementary School students are continually tracking their progress towards their academic goals. To fit the school’s “Pokemon Trainer Club” PBIS theme, they earn special Pokemon cards for scoring on or above target.

Jackson Elementary Talented Theatre students performed a Reader’s Theatre piece at the school’s daily Morning Meeting under the direction of their teacher, Dr. Eddie Elsey. They showcased their work on projection & expression; the JES students and staff loved their performance!
